Always wait until the micro release is out after a major software version is available. For example, never upgrade to WordPress 4.6. Always wait until 4.6.1 is available. Unless you are already established or dominant in a niche, don’t try something brand new that has never been done…instead, adapt something that has been shown to work, and adjust the approach to do something novel.
